The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program - offers grants of for U.S. citizen undergraduate students to pursue academic studies abroad. The program aims to encourage students to choose non-traditional study abroad destinations, especially those outside of Western Europe, Australia, and New Zealand; which is exactly what EESA offers. Students must be recipients of a federal Pell Grant to qualify for this scholarship. Gilman Scholarship is up to $5,000 and students studying abroad with EESA may also apply for a $3,000 critical language supplement for studying Russian or Ukrainian.
Boren Awards for International Study - Boren Awards for International Study National Security Education Program (NSEP): David L. Boren Undergraduate Scholarships award up to $20,000 to U.S. undergraduate students to study abroad in areas of the world that are critical to U.S. interests and underrepresented in study abroad. EESA’s study abroad locations are at the top of the list for Boren Awards. Many EESA students have received this prestigious scholarship and new students are encouraged to apply.
